Total Closet Makeover: I worked with the fashion editor and design director to curate an affordable closet, full of staple items. I sketched out & mocked up this story, created a photoshoot brief, art directed on set, and finally designed the feature. The shoot included an array of instagram “how-to” GIFs—I created these after the issue went to print.

Swimsuits for Every Body followed the same approach: I worked with the fashion editor and design director to compile the poolside wardrobe. I sketched out & mocked up this story, created a photoshoot brief, art directed on set, dipped my toes in the pool, and designed the feature for print.

THE GOOD LIFE

Got Snacks? TGL food editor compiled this tasty list. From there, I sketched out each food category, created a photoshoot brief and art directed on set. I worked with an illustrator to commission the headline and section typography, and finally I designed the feature for print.

We were always looking for a science angle in beauty features—Hair Geometry is a great example. For this story, I reviewed casting with TGL team, created a thorough photoshoot brief and art directed on set. Finally, I designed the story, sprinkling science into design details and typography.

The Good Life Report: Microbiome. Besides learning tons about my own body, I worked with the team to visualize and sketch out exactly what the microbiome is and does. Collaborating with Kyle Bean—a visual genius—we took this complicated concept and made it super fun to look at. Once images were approved I designed the feature for print, creating dropcaps and icons throughout.
